Daredevil

Like many other Marvel superheroes, Matt Murdock received his super powers by accident.

Matt Murdock was raised by his father Jack. Jack was a mediocre boxer who fought
here and there just to pay the rent and his son's education.

Jack tried to push Matt to fullfill everything Jack didn't in his life,
so he persuaded Matt to focus on school and not waste his time on playing games, sports etc.
and maybe become a doctor one day.

Naturally Matt became a target for teasing and mocking by the other kids.
They gave him the nickname "Daredevil" to say he is just the opposite.

One day after school while Matt was on his way to the gym where he would secretly practice,
he noticed a blind old man that is about to get hit by a truck.
Matt jumped and pushed the old man aside, but the truck turned over, spilling radioactive isotope
on the road.

Unfortunatelly some of the radioactive isotope spilled on Matt's face and eyes causing him to
lose his sight.

But like in super hero stories, Matt discovered while recovering in the hospital that his senses
were intensify.
He could hear and smell things from a distance, his taste was different as well as his touch.
The best super powere he gained was a radar sense that could translate his whereabouts into a mental picture.

But he still wasn't ready to become a vigilante. He was young and confused and he didn't know
how to control his powers and abilities.

It took him several years to come across with a Ninja Master name Stick who tought him
how to control his abilities and keep the balance in his life.

There comes a time in every superhero's life where he turns from boy to man.
In comic books it usually happens due to a tragedy, same as in the amazing Spiderman, Batman, Aquaman etc.

While Matt was studying law practice at Columbia Law School, back at home Jack was desparate to
get some fights.
In his desparation he agreed to sign with a notorious boxing manager known as "The Fixer".
The fixer did manage to fix him a fight for the heavyweight championship but what Jack didn't know
is that he was supposed to take a dive and lose the fight.

Not a proud man like Jack would agree to that offer. Jack refused and won the fight.
Late that night, the Fixer paid a visit at Jack's house and murdered him.

Matt, now an attorney, chased the Fixer and his gang down, and eventually pushed the Fixer too much
that he got a heart attack and died.

That was his revenge. But it didn't end there.
From now on the Daredevil was born. A vigilante that fights crime with a Yello and Black costume
he made from Jack's old boxing robe.

From there on the story of Daredevil evolve.

His first serious encounter was with the "Purrple Man", that was able to control people's mind
by releasing pheromones to the air and tell them what to do.

• PaceMaker
