Dr. Octavius was a good man, a vision man who loved what he does and believed in his project.
Him and Peter met while Peter visited him in his lab.
Peter was also a young scientists and was very interested in Octavius work.
But Dr. Octavius turned out to be a mad scientists, after the board rejected his request
for more funds and decided to close his project - his life's work - Octavius
could not agree to that.
He decided to put his life on the risk and step into the machine and test it on himself.
The result was 4 metal, self-thinking, evil arms who effected his judgement and made him continue
doing crazy stuff. He literaly became a villain.
One of the best scenes was the one on the train where he fought Spiderman.
Actually Octavius "kicked his ass" and damaged the train's breaks so Spiderman could not follow him.
This image was taken from that train fight. You can see Octavius throwing Spiderman with his metal arms
. Later on he brought Spider-Man to his friend that wanted to sattle the score with Spiderman
for killing his father, no knowing that behind the mask was his closest firned Peter Parker.
Octavius of course did it for the money and the thing he needed to continue his project.
